Tenzin Phuntsog
Artist & Filmmaker
Tenzin Phuntsog is an artist and filmmaker whose practice spans narrative film, moving image installation, and archive. Working across deep time and displacement, his films navigate the space between what is lost and what persists — through surrogate landscapes, the Tibetan language, and the karmic weight of lives unfinished. His debut feature Next Life (2025) premiered at FID Marseille, winning two awards. Next Life was also selected for New Directors/New Films 2026, organized by The Museum of Modern Art and Film at Lincoln Center in New York. His second solo exhibition The Last Dream at the End of the World exhibited at at Microscope Gallery in New York in 2026. He is currently developing his second feature film Sentient Beings at the SFFILM Film House Residency.
